Abbey Lawn Manor
Abbeylawn Manor Retirement Home is ideally situated surrounded by the natural beauty of the Petticoat Creek Conservation Area and steps from stunning views of Lake Ontario. Abbeylawn Manor provides a home for seniors that assist with as much or as little care as is required by each individual resident. The skilled mix of care providers at the residence allows Abbeylawn to offer a full range of activities and programs to help seniors maintain independence, as well as offering palliative and respite care.
Bethesda House
Bethesda House Shelter & Community Outreach Services provides a wide range of supports to women, youth and children dealing with domestic abuse. Services include short-term secure shelter, individual and group counselling for both shelter residents and women in the community, assistance with all the activities related to moving on from abuse and abuse prevention and intervention support to both male and female youth. Brock Community Health Centre
Non-profit health s organization funded by Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and the Central East Local Health Integration Network providing Primary Health Care, Diabetes Education, Geriatric Assessment , and Community Development and Health Promotion Programs and services to the residents of Brock Township and surrounding areas. Services are provided by a collaborating multi-disciplinary team supported by community partners.
Community Care
Community Care Durham (CCD), established in 1977, is a multi-service registered charitable organization. We provide Home Support, Respite (Caregiver Relief) and COPE Mental Health services to adults and their caregivers who have needs related to aging, physical and/or mental health. Our services are provided free of charge or for a minimal fee and are administered through various service locations serving the communities of Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Oshawa, Pickering, Scugog, Uxbridge and Whitby.
Distress Centre Durham
Distress Centre Durham helps those in distress to cope by providing emotional support, crisis / suicide management and community education to residents to Durham. They do this via a 24 telephone helpline, suicide and homicide loss support groups, Prideline Durham, resource centre and one on one call – out programs for those who can benefit from ongoing support.
Durham Deaf Services
Durham Deaf Services is a non-profit organization that provides educational programs and services to the Deaf, deafened and hard of hearing community within Durham Region. Established in 1982, the aim of DDS is to promote self-reliance, reduce isolation and increase Deaf cultural awareness. We work closely with families in need of communications assistance and have developed programs specifically for children, seniors, new residents, unemployed persons and at-risk individuals.
Home Instead Senior Care
Home Instead Senior Care is a non medical home care service dedicated to assist seniors with everyday activities to enable them to stay at home safely and independently. We provide services such as meal preparation, homemaking, laundry, medication reminders, personal care, transportation, shopping, companionship, Alzheimer' care, Dementia care and much more. All of our caregivers are trained, screened, bonded and insured. We pay very special attention to matching our CAREGivers with our clients to achieve the utmost compatibility and consistency. Home Instead Senior Care operates 24 hrs a day 7 days a week to provide ongoing support to our caregiver, clients and their families.
Home Well Senior Care
Trusted providers of hourly, overnight and live-in care. Home Well Senior Care provides personal support and assistance to seniors and their families to enable them to remain in the comfort of their own home. Our services include; companionship, transportation, errands, personal care, palliative care, respite care, Alzheimer and dementia care, light housekeeping, medication reminders, meal preparation and much more. Same day assessments can be arranged at no-cost. Personalized care plans are developed for each client. All of our personal assistants are trained, bonded and insured. HomeWell Senior Care provides care 24 hrs/day-7 days/ week (including holidays). We are a Veteran's Affairs approved provider."
Lakeridge Health
Lakeridge Health is one of the largest community hospitals in Ontario. We provide a broad range of primary, secondary, tertiary and post-acute services through three acute hospitals, a specialty hospital and numerous satellite service locations. On any given day, 1,200 people walk through our doors to access one of the many services we offer in our communities. This care is delivered by more than 4,000 staff and physicians, with the support of nearly 1,200 volunteers. We provide care predominantly to the residents of Durham Region and work in partnership with the Central East Local Health Integration Network and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
M & M Mediation Services
M&M Mediation assits families who are in a conflict or dispute regarding the care plans and decisions regarding an aging parent or family member. We help families to focus on the issues of the conflict, and generate options for resolutions that maintatin and strengthen family relationships.
Ontario Shores
Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) is a public teaching hospital providing a range of specialized assessment and treatment services to those living with complex and serious mental illness.
